Christmas Gifts.

Hey everyone,
I know I haven't posted anything in a while, but i've been busy shopping for peoples gifts. I was wondering if I should put out a video for these products, but I've decided not to. These items that I am going to list down in this blog entry are all things I bought for myself. Majority of these products are clothing items. I bought most of my gifts from some of my favorite stores, mostly the ones I have in my videos constantly ;)
The Items on the list are:

  • A sweater.
  • A jacket.
  • Victoria Secrets underwear.
  • Pink perfume.
  • Bath bombs from LUSH.
  • Nail polish/ Nail kit.
  • A candle
  • Free products from The Body Shop.
While trying to figure out what to buy everyone else, I ended up getting myself a couple of things. Most of which, I count as winter apparel. I got a new jacket from victoria secret. I tried looking on the website countless times, and every time I went in and looked, they were always sold out on the jacket I wanted. It seems like they never restock it, so I decided that it would be best if I just went in to the store. I wanted the lime green jacket, but the one in the style I wanted hand sold out as well. All they had was smalls and extra smalls, which unfortunately I do not fit. However I did find another alternative green jacket, in which I purchased. I ended up buying underwear, from the big sale victorias secret had. Instead of their normal buy 5 for 26, they had buy 7 for 26. I got 7 of them, but ever pair I got after that, would be 3 dollars and something cents. I got about 10 pairs. (7 for the people I shopped for, and 2 for me.)
This is what my JAKCET looks like The orange jacket is a jacket my mom got me, :

After that, I went to American Eagle. I've been meaning to go over to that store for a while. They have beautiful winter clothes, that I love. I ended up getting 2 sweaters. One in the baseball tee type style, and another sweater which is a nice V-neck in blue. They were rather expensive, but it was worth it. I've only worn my baseball tee sweater so far, due to the fact I use it to go to sleep at night. The other one I will wear soon, when the weather gets a little more chilly. These are what they look like:

Going back to Victoria Secrets, I decided to try out some of Pinks perfumes. I've already tried the regular victoria secret perfume. I got the sexy vixen perfume, and I love the smell of the vanilla. They had a sale, in which the perfume was 2 for 30. I got two of the body sprays, in the lime green bottle, which smelt like limes, and the pink bottle which smelt like strawberries. I do like the way they smell, and it is a fairly big bottle with the product inside, to me this was a very splendid buy.:

After that I went to sephora, to see if they had a nail polish I liked. I looked around and saw only a slight similar color. Along with finding that product I found a nail polish remover, specifically made for OPI nail polish. Along with that I found a product that saved my life. Literally! I am the type of person who is very impatient when it comes to painting my nails. I hat having to wait 3 minutes or so for one layer to dry then another 6 minutes for the next layer. Which is why when I found this product, it was like a gift from God. The nail spray basically dries your nail polish faster than letting it air dry. How it works is, after you put on your first coat of nail polish, let it air dry for about 45 seconds, once that is done, you spray your nail with the quick dry spay and it literally hardens your top coat within seconds. I like to let it sit for a couple more seconds before touching my nails, just to make sure. This product has seriously saved me so much time painting my nails, I cannot tell you how happy I am for this product. On the plus side, it doesn't just work for sephora OPI nailpolish, but for the actual OPI brand as well. This is what the products look like, as well as an extra nail polish I got from a nail salon.:

The last place I stopped off at was LUSH, I went in to get a big bath bomb set, for everyones christmas gifts. They sold a big tin full of different variaties of winter bath bombs. I got that as well as some products for myself. I got some soap, as well as 3 presents, which I opened to give away to other people. Along with that I made a new friend at LUSH and got free samples. Thank you, Toby for helping me! Normally Chad is the one that always helps me, but you are just as fun ! :)

Not too long ago I went to the mall and I ended up getting two more things to add to my collection. I ended up getting a candle from bath and body and I got a new paint pot from MAC. I saw the paint pot when I went shopping on black friday, but I didn't get it because my boyfriend plagued my mind with the guilt of not being able to pay for everyone else's gift.

I wanted to go to Bath and Body on black friday also, but the line was so long and they were only letting certain amount of people in the store I decided to wait. Even though the candles were back to their normal price, I wanted to buy one anyways. The candle that I got was one that I saw one of my favorite youtube gurus get in her black friday shopping haul. Lately, I've been obsessed with the smell of gingerbread. I love the cookies, I love the gingerbread latte from starbucks, and I love making my own cookies as well. When I saw the gingerbread candle in her haul, I had to get my own. I decided to buy the little one, being the fact I didn't want to waste 20 dollars if I didn't like the candle after all. This is what it looks like:

The next thing I got was my paint pot. I got a paint pot from MAC that I love, and its the bare study paint pot. I wanted to try out a paint pot the same makeup guru had, which was rubenesq. Its this beautiful bright orange color, that in my opinion would be lovely for this type of weather:

Along with that, I also went shopping for nail polishes. I got three different colors over the course of time. I got a nice brown one, which is named: Over the Taupe.
I got a beautiful, nice light purple named: Do You Lilac It?
The last color I got was a pure black, which I am very happy with, named: Black Onyx.
These are what the colors look like:

The last bit of things that I got were from Aeropostale, Forever21, as well as The Body Shop. The products that I got from the clothing stores, were shirts, a jacket, and a cardigan. From the beauty store, I got free products, due to the bag I bought  sometime back in November. So every week leading up to Christmas. Thats 6 free gifts !

From Aeropostale, I just got a nice gray jacket, with purple print on the front of the jacket running down. On the inside of the jacket there is all fur except for where the arms are, which is just normal jacket material. This is my favorite jacket, it keeps me nice and warm and its nice and simple. This is what it looks like:

From Forever21, I just got simple shirts. Two in purple, and one in gray. I also got a cardigan. This is what they look like:

The last place was at the body shop. I missed out of two weeks worth of my free products, so I got two out of four. The first thing I got for free was a Shower gel. I got a lemon scented one and Last weeks one was a free shampoo. I was lucky because I ran out of ginger shampoo about three weeks ago, and I could pick any shampoo I wanted. It was nice to get a product thats normally eight dollars for free ! This is what they look like:

Those were all my products as part of my big Christmas haul of things I got from November till now ! If you guys have any questions, please comment below ! Thank you ! Have a wonderful time Christmas shopping ! :)

"Halloween Lush Haul"

Hey everyone,
I hope you all had a wonderful Halloween ! ^_^ I'm sorry that my video came out so late :X I didn't mean for that to happen. I'm in the Hawaii-Aleutian time zone, therefore everyone in America is basically out "trick-or-treating" while it was still 3 or 4 where i'm located. I'd also like to thank, Andrew, my boyfriend for buying me all my lush goodies, as well as my shoes. Thank you so much for everything, and thank you for helping me out with my family problems i've been going through this past week! You're the best ! :)

Aside from all my thanks, lets get a move on the products, shall we?
I went all out this time when I went to LUSH. I got 3 bubble bars, 5 bath bombs, one face mask, one facial application product, as well as a lotion type product. That was 11 products that almost cost 100 dollars total.

The first LUSH products I will talk about are my "bottled" products, These are basically the products that I don't need to put in the little yellow bags that you see around LUSH. Majority of these bottled products are for you face, which would be the Face mask and the Acne topical gel. The other one is a shower moisturizer. If you are wondering what exactly that is, it is simply a moisturizer that you use in the shower due to the fact you have to wash it off.

Since we are talking about the shower moisturizer, the name of the product is the Almond and Coconut smoothie. I've already used this product, and I really like it. I originally saw it on youtube from one of the other youtube gurus I watch. I decided to try it out, and the new guy in the store did a sample on my skin and it felt amazing ! I'm so happy I got it. This product is a little pricey, but it comes with a lot of the product inside of it. The product looks like so:

The next bottled product I got was called Grease Lightning. Basically what grease lightning is, is a topical gel for acne prone skin. You put it on the area where you have most acne or an active blemish. It is supposed to help calm it down, and well as dry out the pimple and return your skin back to normal ! This is the bottle in comes in, its a bit expensive, I will admit but I like it. It has Witch Hazel as well as tea tree oil, two components that go well with helping out acne prone skin. :

The last bottled product that I got, is one that I always get. I've gone without my cupcake face mask for a while. I'm happy I finally got a chance to buy it again. Like the grease lightning, the cupcake face mask is for what they call "teenage skin". This face mask, mostly made with chocolate, helps dry out the blemishes on your face, as well as leaving your skin nice and soft. How you apply it, is you put a nice application of the product on your face, let it sit and semi-dry up on your face for about 15 minutes, then you wash it off if luke warm water. This is what the product looks like:

The next products I got are either bath bombs or bubble bars. These are what the "bagged" products look like:

The first bath bomb that I talked about in my video was called Calavera. This bath bomb was a special halloween edition bath bomb that comes out every year, I believe. I am completely in love with this product. I tried it out for the very first time in my whole life and I love the way it smelt and how calm I felt after my shower. This bath bomb has little pieces of seeds and leaves still inside the bath bomb itself once you put it in the water it just floats around. I like to leave it in the bathtub with me, but if you don't like that, you can wrap your product up in a nylon sock and wait till the bath bomb dissolves an take the left over parts out without a mess. This is what the beautiful bath bomb looks like:

The next bath bomb that I got is also a special edition product, just like calavera. This bath bomb is a permanent Christmas edition bath bomb called so white. I bought about 5 of these bath bombs last year and I absolutely love it. They are these cute little white bath bombs that smell like apples to me. When you put this in your tub its supposed to make your skin feel nice and soft. I bought 3 this first shopping trip, and I can't wait to go back for more. This is what the product looks like:

The last bath bomb I got was called Dragon's egg, and its this white bath bomb with pink patches on it. I have never tried out this product before. The only time I ever bought it was last year for christmas. I got it for one of my friends as a christmas present. I hope to test mine out soon and tell you guys how I like it. :

The next products I got were bubble bars, I got 3 bubble bars, two that are the same and a different one.

The first bubble bar i'll share with you guys is one a new product I've gotten for the first time. It looks and smells similar to a different bubble bar i've seen in the store, the only difference is this one is 4 dollars cheaper. The bubble bar is called candy mountain. The way this product, as well as any other bubble bath works, is you run it under water for  a little while, then you break it up into little pieces. After that you sit and wait for your bubbles to form in your tube and you have a nice bubble bath. This is what Candy Mountain looks like:

The last and final product I got, was one that I'm so thankful to have come back this time again. It is called the Ginger bread house bubble bar. This product first came out last year, as a test run. This year they brought it back, and I couldn't be any happier. I'm so thankful that they brought it back. This product smells like cinnamon and vanilla to me, and it is just the perfect blend of smells. I love this product so much, and cannot wait to use it ! This is what it looks like:

Those were all the things I got from LUSH ! If you guys have any questions please feel free to comment below ^___^ Have a nice day :)

"Pretty and Cute Haul"

Hey everyone,
So I got yet another round of pretty and cute products, I actually waited this time for reasonable products to get. Don't get me wrong, I don't think any of their products are bad, because I love them all. I just wanted to use my money wisely this time. The product comes in a cute little box, like this:

I was keeping an eye out for one product that I really liked. That would have to be the lioele waterdrop sleeping pack, I was looking at the product for about a month now and I looked at the reviews about five times total. I wanted to try it out because of the reviews everyone had put down. The product itself is supposed to be used as a moisturizer, with alpine extract, it supposed to help out any dry skin you tend to have. Another perk to it, is it has a "slimming" effect to it, where it helps with your morning swelling you see in your face. I thought, why not and I ended up buying it. How I use it, is I put it as the last application of product for my night routine products. I put just a small amount on the tip of my finger and rub it into my skin, you don't wash this product, as instructed on the site. Your skin then absorbes it and helps moisturize your face and helps to slim it down. The slimming though takes a while, you have to constantly use it in order to see results, which i've seen in the reviews on the pretty and cute website. The product looks like so:

The next product I got was a BB cream, to be honest with you i've wanted a BB cream for about 5 months now, I just didn't want to buy one and it didn't match my skin tone. BB creams aren't cheap, i'll tell you that much. They run up to 30 dollars just for one product, the plus side to the price though is it lasts a really long time. The application amount is really little, therefor it takes a while for you to use up the product. The BB cream I got was due to the little sample packets i'd get from the pretty and cute website, once i'd put in my order. The one I got was the Triple the Solution BB cream. It comes in a nice tube and I really like it, I just wish it was like the skin 79 BB cream packaging. Other than that the product works nice. Heres what it looks like:

The next products I got were of course OPI nail polishes, since I love them so much. I had to buy two of them, to meet up with the free shipping amount. The nail polishes I got were a shimmer nail polish and a mat nail polish. The colors were a hot pink and a shimmery white. The names are; Pink- I'm Indi-a mood for love, and Happy Anniversary. This is what they look like:

So along with getting my free shipping, I also got a free sample of a product I wanted to try, which was the Lioele blooming shimmer pearl base. This is what the little sample packet looks like :

Along with the free sample packet, I also got a little gift for buying a purchase over the amount of 25 dollars, which was a cute ring. It actually looks like a Hello Kitty Ring, due to the fact its a cat with a bow by its ear. The only difference is the stones by the ear aren't colored red. Other than that I still like it, just because I like Rings in general, This is what it looked like :

That was all that I got ! ^_^ Thanks guys.

"Saturday Haul" Oct. 10

Hey everyone,
This is just all the information about the products that I bought at the beginning of october. The first thing that I got while I was looking around the body shop was a brush. I have a brush, but to be honest with you I don't really like how much the knots i'd have in my hair would really pull out a lot of my hair, while i'd brush it. My brush is rather small, which means there isn't a lot of bristles on it. The Body shops brush is the exact opposite. Its a nice big brush with a lot of bristles to help go in-between the knots and pull them apart without having to hurt your head from the excessive pulling. The brush has a wooden base and looks like so:
This picture is from the BODY SHOP'S WEBSITE. I Didn't want to take a picture of my own brush, because I have hair stuck in it already.

The next product that I ended up getting was due to a sample packet I got in one of my old videos. It was a sample packet of the tea tree blackhead exfoliating wash. I tried it out and I really did like the sample packet. I went in the store and decided to get the full sized product. Its this green tube with the name of the product on the bottle. It looks like so:

How I use it, is after i'm done taking a shower, i'll take out a little amount of the product and rub it on my whole face, but scrub more of my problem areas where blackheads tend to stay ( On my nose and chin) scrub it for about 45 seconds, and wash it off with lukewarm water.

The next and final product that I got from the body shop would have to be mascara, the old mascara that I got from elf started to dry out. I went in and saw their mascara, I asked one of the sales associates if it was any good, she said yes. That she really liked it, and that it reminded her of the volumizing  mascara. I bought it and took it home, she was right. It really amps up the length of your lashes and it's amazing. The name of the mascara itself it the Super volume mascara. In my honest opinion, it really holds up to its name, the wand of the mascara is very nice, when you take it out of the tube its not messy, the mascara isn't clumpy and doesn't clump up your eyelashes. One of the main reasons why I love it so much is because it actually does an amazing job at separating my individual lashes and making them appear longer than they actually are. I curl my eyelashes first then us the mascara. The product looks like so:
All the body shop products that I bought for the video were all a part of a sale that was going on at the body shop. They had their usual buy 2, get one free, buy 3, get two free. The only difference this time was it was based off of practically everything in the store, not just certain products. The only things you couldn't get for this sale were the mini products of the big packets of things. Like the mini acne care pack.

I went to a nail salon at the mall and saw their wall of OPI nail polish. I've been falling in love with OPI nail polishes lately, and I just had to get some. I ended up getting two colors that are polar opposites of each other, but I love the colors so much. I got a bright blue one named: Teal the cow comes. Its a shimmer nail polish. The other color I got its a brownish gold, named: Brazened bronze. The colors looks like this:

The last thing I got was a shirt from american eagle. It's in the style of a baseball tee, its a nice light green, with an ae saying on it. The product can be seen in my video :)

Mini Haul, 9/17/11

Hey everyone,
This is going to be my little blog entry to match with my video I posted on youtube. So today I went shopping. When I went to the mall, my main goal was to find jeans. I decided it wasn't the right time to buy them, and the price for these jeans were going through the roof. I honestly haven't been to the mall for jeans in so long that the price went up 10 dollars. I told myself i'd come back for pants, maybe later on in the winter time when they have some really good deals on pants. Other than my jeans I wanted to get a perfume that I saw at sephora, which was the Harajuku Lovers Fragrance. I tested out some of the samples in the store and noticed that I really liked the way G smelt. I ended up getting the limited summer edition "G of the sea" fragrance. This is what it looks like:

Its this cute little mermaid on top of the actual perfume, as a cap. When you uncap it, theres the little perfume. To me this perfume smells similar to MAC's perfume line. It is the blue capped perfume, in the hue: Truquatic.

The next thing I got from sephora was a nail-polish. It is OPI's three in one nail polish, it serves as a base, top coat and nail strengthener. I wanted this product for a while, ever since I first tried it about two months ago. I truly think it does work, so I ended up getting it along with my perfume. This is what it looks like :

Along with all my purchases that I got at sephora I also got a free gift with my points I has saved up on my card. I got to choose between three different items. I decided that I want to get a face primer, because i've never had one or bought one before. I was happy to get a little test sample to see what it would be like. Alone with my little test sample I also got a free test sample for dry skin by bare minerals. It was a moisturizing cream. These are what the free samples looked like:

The next place I went to was the body shop. I swear every time I go to the mall I always go to the body shop. The night before I saw on their facebook page that they were having a little sale going on for the love your body card members. Instead of getting your traditional 10% off on your purchases you got to get 20% over the weekend. That was one opportunity I didn't want to pass up, due to the fact that the body shop products aren't all that cheap. I ended up going in for basic body scrubbers. I have one body brush I use for my daily brushing ( using the brush, to brush off dead skins cells BEFORE I shower.) I wanted a brush I could use in the shower, and one with a long enough handle that I could reach my whole back. I found one, along with a face brush, and a foot brush. These are what the products look like:

The next thing I got was the 3 for 30 combo, which is when you buy a shower gel, a body scrub and a body butter for only 30 dollars. Its a good deal because you save about 16 dollars putting all three together. You are allowed to mix and match the products in the three for thirty line, but I really do like the grapefruit line, therefore I only stuck to just one line. These are what the products look like:

So after getting my whole purchase and getting my 20% off, I ended up getting a free little gift which consisted of five little test samples of their products. I only had four that I shared in my video, due to the fact that one of the samples was for men. I ended up giving that sample to my boyfriend. The other samples were: A body butter, black head exfoliator, moisturizing cream, and a little fragrance sample.
Here is a picture:

That was my entire shopping haul. Thank you guys so much for watching my videos and reading my hauls. :) Hope you all had a wonderful weekend !

~Mel
